Workplace Health Promotion Program Implementation
Workplaces can have a significant impact on the health of employees. Best Start Barrie wanted to address the needs of employees. It wanted to help workplaces implement policies that could have a positive impact on the health of employees. Staff from Best Start worked with two workplaces in Barrie. They helped the workplaces to apply Health Canada's Workplace Health System program. This paper reviews the success that Barrie's community college had as a result of the program. You will read about how Best Start Barrie engaged the college in the process of creating a healthy working environment, how obstacles were overcome and the steps that the organizers took to achieve success.
